ich hab den "Fehler" auch noch nach dem Patch?!
Allerdings stürzt bei mir nix ab, sondern der Fehler erscheint nur wenn ich zwischen SP und MP wechsle - dann kommt die Meldung kurz und verschwindet dann wieder!
Bei mir hing sich das Game komplett auf, ging gar nichts mehr... Jetzt nach dem Update geht es. Allerdings wechsle ich nicht über´s Menü zwischen den beiden Parts hin und her... Wenn ich dran denke, probier ich es mal aus.

Every attempt to launch multiplayer results in the game crashing and an error message stating "iw3mp.exe stop functioning". Single player runs fine and it’s only when attempting to run MP that the game crashes.
Answer
There are some issues running CoD 4 multiplayer on some onboard sound cards. If you have a RealTek(TM) onboard sound card and Windows(R) Vista you should try removing your sound card drivers and allow Windows Vista to install it's default sound drivers. Please make note of the make and model of your sound card prior to removing it in order to aid in reinstallation at a later date.
To remove your sound card drivers do the following:
Open the control panel link from the start menu
Check the programs and features tool to see if your sound card drivers are listed here
If they are not open the system tool in the control panel
Click on the device manager task on the left
Locate your sound card in the list, it should be in the sound, video, and game controllers section
Right-click on the sound card name and select Uninstall.
If that fails to resolve the issue for the RealTek sound card, you can try the latest RealTek drivers
If you have a Sigmatel® onboard sound card you will need to install all Windows® Vista updates, and the latest Sigmatel drivers from www.dell.com. Please navigate from the dell homepage to support, your make and model computer, and look for a sound card update.
If you are running the game from a secondary partition, download the latest BIOS updates from your motherboard manufacturer in addition to following the above instructions.
Ich habs, da ich einen speziellen Bildschirm Phillips habe, benütze ich auch einen anderen soundkarten treiber, bei mir ist das der phillips sound agent. beim starten des online modus kommt bei mi immer oben genannter exe fehler.
um dass problem zu beheben müsst ihr einfach den Realteak c97 als standard treiber definieren und schon gets
