AWE 3b5b für CoD1.2 (inoffizielle Version!) |

Nachdem nun also eine (scheinbar) stabile Version der Linux Binaries für 1.2 draussen ist, wird es also Zeit, die Server upzudaten.
Hab jetzt ziemlichen "Spaß" gehabt, den AWE mit dem Linux 1.2 auf eine Wellenlänge zu kriegen...
Aber ich habe es hinbekommen. Um euch das Gefitzel zu ersparen hier nun also eine lauffähige Version des AWE 3b5b - ihr müsst allerdings folgendes beachten:
Willkommens- und Servernachrichten:
NICHT AKTIVIEREN!
Wenn man sie aktiviert, stürzt der Server beim Connecten ab - "Segmentation fault" - scheint etwas mit der Anzeige der Nachrichten in der Mitte zu tun zu haben und der Fettschrift - wer damit experimentieren will, ist es selbst schuld
Bei mir läuft der Server stabil, wenn beides aus ist.
MOTD:
Funktioniert zwar bei 1.2 jetzt - aber NICHT beim AWE3b5b (bei mir zumindest)
Exploit-Fixes:

Durch den "Fix" von IW selbst scheint sich das mit den Community-Fixes nicht mehr zu vertragen!

Eigene Anpassungen:
Granaten: bei JEDER Waffe 2 Stück
Resapwn-Schutz: eingebaut - kann in der spawn.cfg angepasst werden
Der http-Download funktioniert, allerdings dauert der Download durch die dauernde Umleitung für jede der drei iwd-Dateien länger, als wenn man sie direkt vom Server zieht - dadurch wird das bei unserem Server erst mal deaktiviert bleiben.

Installation & Start:
Lade die Zip-Datei herunter und entpacke sie.
Du hast nun den Ordner awetest - in diesem Ordner liegen die Dateien:
awe3b5bol.iwd
c1.iwd
s1.iwd
awe.cfg
test.cfg
spawn.cfg
ALLE Dateien werden vom Client benötigt, damit der AWE richtig funktioniert!
In der awe.cfg werden die Einstellungen für den AWE-MOD angepast.
in der spawn.cfg wird die Länge des Respawn-Schutzes eingestellt.
In der test.cfg werden alle normalen Spiel-Einstellungen getroffen und die awe.cfg und die spawn.cfg aufgerufen.
DENKT DARAN, das RCON-Passwort anzupassen!
Lade den Ordner awetest auf Deinen Server und starte anschließend mit dem Parameter:
+sv_pb_enable +set sv_punkbuster 1 +set fs_game awetest +set dedicated 2 exec test.cfg +map_rotate
Der AWE-Server sollte nun laufen.

Ich weiß es nicht, ob es an der AWE-Version liegt, aber der Server hat sich nun mehrfach verabschiedet mit der Fehlermeldung "Speicherzugriffsfehler" - sobald ich mehr weiß, werd ich es posten!

Danke für das Lob - allerdings haben wir uns wohl zu früh gefreut - hatten nun mehrere Abstürze mit der Meldung "Speicherzugriffsfehler" - trotz Testerei scheint da doch noch irgendwas im Argen zu liegen...
Hab den AWE deaktiviert, so bald ich mehr weiß, sag ich Bescheid!

Yoda ist doch kein Problem, hast du gute beziehnung zu leuten die den awe mod machen. Frag doch mal an, wann der neue awe mod rauskommt (neue Version). Der den Patch unterstützt, bin auch schon die ganze zeit am Fummeln. Der Server kackt immer wieder ab.
Aber viel spaß beim weiter testen.

Was ich komisch finde du tust die awe3b5bol.iwd so hochladen, normaler weise tut man die doch entpackt hochladen.
Also sprich mit awe3b5/dann die gazen datein die in der awe3b5bol.iwd drin sind.
Oder nicht, vieleicht liegt es ja daran. Hast du diese Variante schon probiert???

Jep, an sich hast Du recht - allerdings ist das Problem bei der Sache ist folgendes:
CoD 2 Version 1.2 mit dem bisherigen AWE - jonint man, hat man trotz clientseitiger Installation im Auswahl-Menü nur "Zuschauen" zur Auswahl - man kann zwar per 1, 2, 3 auswählen, was man möchte, aber die meisten kommen da nicht von selbst drauf
Durch die alten team_*.menu-Dateien von CoD2 V1.0 kann man das zwar beheben, allerdings werden die dann auch clienbtseitig benötigt - und damit die auch wirklich mit runtergeladen werden, hab ich den kompletten AWE in eine Datei gepackt.
Allerdings stimmt trotzdem irgendwas ganz gewaltig nicht, da sich der Server nun mehrfach hintereinander mit "Speicherzugriffsfehler" verabschiedet hat und ich hab keine Ahnung, wieso, weil es jeweils bei verschiedenen Aktionen passiert ist...
Daher hab ich den bei uns erst mal deaktiviert...
Bell arbeitet bereits an einer neuen AWE-Version, müssen wir noch etwas Geduld haben, sorry, Leute!

Nur ein Tip ins Blaue:
Next map voting - hab ich auch ausgemacht, wird doch glaub ich auch irgendeine Nachricht dann angezeigt...
Logos hab ich auch alle ausgeschaltet.
Next Map-Messages hab ich auch deaktiviert.
Wenn Du Dir hier die awe.cfg anschaust, siehst Du genau, welche Einstellungen ich an und aus hatte - damit startet der Server, allerdings verabschiedet er sich dann, wenn ein paar Leute sich drauf tummeln bei den unterschiedlichsten Ereignissen mit der Meldung "Speicherzugriffsfehler"...
Wenn Du da weiter tüfteln willst, dann nimm die als Grundlage und schalte nur eine Option nach der anderen ein bis die Kiste sich wieder verabschiedet...

Bei dem Linux Server sind die Medipacks das Problem die müssen ausgeschalten werden dann funk. die AWE auch.

Mercí, werd es ausprobieren. Unter Windows hab ich auch keine Probleme damit gehabt, trotz Medi-Packs - aber hatten wir auch schon öfter, das manch ein MOD unter Windows läuft und sich bei Linux dann verabschiedet...
