Ok. Habe nun alle CFG´s gelöscht und nur eine esl_sd.cfg und eine esl_eu.cfg auf den Server geschmissen. Diese haben chmod 755 bekommen. Der Server hat gar keine andere Chance eine andere cfg zu nehmen als diese beiden. Ausser die aus den iwd Dateien.

Egal. Zu keiner Zeit war die Dateiendung dafür gedacht das das Betriebssystem weiß wozu die Datei gut ist. Bei der Erweiterung ging es immer nur darum dem Benutzer eine Hilfe zu geben um welche Art von Datei es sich handelt. Nur M$ hat das nie verstanden.
Du kannst Sie also nennen wie du willst, Linux ist das egal. Da es ein Shellscript ist bietet sich start_28960.sh an.
Wichtiger ist das die Datei ausführbar ist. chmod u+x ./start_28960.sh

Da der Pfad im Script komplett eingetragen ist ($DIR) ist auch das egal.
Irgendwo unter /home/deinbenutzer erscheint sinnvoll.

Auch der screen Name ist für die Funktionalität unrelevant. Es darf nur nicht für zwei verschiedene Server derselbe benutzt werden.
Also codversion_port ist eine gute Idee. Ja.
Allerdings ist ein Script das den Server bei Absturz selbst wieder startet vielleicht praktischer..(funktioniert auch mit \rcon quit)

In dem Script ist es nicht möglich. Es macht auch nicht wirklich Sinn.
Läuft das Script (bzw arbeitest du) mit root - Rechten, dann braucht es kein Passwort an der Stelle. Läuft das Script als normaler Benutzer (läuft es natürlich weil man nie als root arbytet) dann ist es eigentlich überflüssig nochmal einen anderen Benutzer für den CoD Server anzugeben.
Wird das Script als normaler Benutzer gestartet, und die Server sollen unter root laufen, dann, ... ja dann ist eigentlich eh alles verloren :/
Will man das wirklich, aus was für Gründen auch immer, kann man einen Benutzer ohne Passwort erstellen. Dieser kann sich dann nicht einloggen - aber su auf diesen Benutzer sollte funktionieren. Aber nicht vergessen das dann dieser Benutzer normalerweise auch ein anderes home Verzeichnis hat, der Eigentümer der CoD Dateien und Verzeichnise passen muss, und 3 mal kontrollieren das der Benutzer sich wirklich nicht von außen einloggen kann (auch an FTP, SSH, etc denken... )
