Ich hab seit dem Rootumzug am WE ein delikates Problem mit meiner Base und Homepathinstallation:
Server: Test
Basepath: D:\CoD 4\Serverfiles (komplettes Spiel + *.ff und *.iwd Files von Mod & Maps, players Ordner)
Homepath: D:\CoD 4\Server\Test (Modordner samt *.cfg, pb Prdner, players Ordner)
Mod: ACE 2.0a
OS: Win XP
Server startet mit der C Map (mp_xxx) in der Rotation. Schalt ich nun manuell (MiniAdmin, Konsole) eine andere C Map (mp_yyy) ein, gibt es einen DL Loop der map.iwd Datei.
Gut --> alle Maps vom Server erneut auf den Redirectspace geschaufelt, könnte ja was am Dateidatum faul sein. Sicher ist sicher.
Jetzt das ganz dubiose:
Schreibe ich nun die C Map (mp_yyy) in die Rotation, die zuvor den Loop erzeugt hat, funktioniert die Map tadellos.
Mein Startparameter:
+sets gamestartup %LOG_DATUM% %LOG_ZEIT% +set dedicated 2 +set fs_basepath D:\CoD 4\Serverfiles +set fs_homepath D:\CoD 4\Server\Test +set fs_game mods/ace +set net_ip 78.143.44.225 +set net_port 28960 +set sv_punkbuster 1 +exec config_ace.cfg +map_rotate
Mit dieser Home und Basepathinstallation laufen mehrere Server, das Problem betrifft aber nur diesen einen Server
Ich habe schon den Modordner geändert und den Homepath geändert --> Problem bleibt bestehen.
Ich habe auf den anderen Server keinerlei Probleme.
Ändere ich den Startparameter um und lass einen seit Wochen stillgelegten Server laufen (selber Mod, nur Homepath anders), funktioniert alles.
Irgendwas muss ich irgendwo übersehen haben, sehe aber den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht mehr...
Kann da ein fehlerhaftes File dran schuld sein? Mein Testserver @ Home läuft problemlos mit WinXp, der alte Root lief auch problemlos

Okay, folgender Versuchsaufbau:
gleicher Homepath, diverse Modordner: ace, awe4, modwarfare
Ergebnis: C Maps haben im Zufallsprinzip Loops, daher folgender Test:
Anderer Homepath (der von meinem alten 09/16).
Modordner: ace
Hab ca n Dutzend Maps geladen, alle problemlos, auch diejenigen, die beim andern Homepath den Loop hatten.
Ich verstehe nix mehr...

Genau das gleiche Phänomen habe ich auf einem meiner Server.
Der haut mir ständig einen DL-Loop rein, obwohl alle Dateien übereinstimmen und auf einem anderen Server aus genau der gleichen Installation heraus die genau gleiche Map problemlos geladen wird. Ganz ohne Loop.
homepath/basepath stimmen, Mapdateien stimmen, Dateien bei mir im Spieler-Ordner stimmen ebenfalls. Hab die Server mehrfach neu gestartet und finde einfach keine Ursache... momentan ist testen auch sehr mühselig, weil meine "Werkzeuge" aufgrund meiner besch... Leitung gerade nicht richtig funktionieren und ich nicht connecten kann. Da macht mir mein Router einen Strich durch die Rechnung...
Vielleicht sollten wir mal ne Test-konferenz machen Jungs... ich find das alles sehr seltsam.

Wenn ich zwischendrin den Download abbreche, habe ich eine tmp-Datei der iwd im usermaps-Ordner. Das bedeutet doch dass er sie auch tatsächlich runterlädt.... sollte meine Leitung heute wieder etwas zugänglicher sein, möchte ich noch den ein oder anderen Gegentest machen.

Naja... da müsste ich die 100stel Sekunde erwischen in der die Datei vollständig geladen ist und er wieder in den nächsten Loop hüpft.
Der Abbruchszeitpunkt entspricht ja der Schnelligkeit meiner Wurschtfinger bei Eingabe von /quit vor Startzeitpunkt des nächsten Loops, der wiederum die zu erzielende ideal-iwd erneut überschreibt.
Ich vermute die Versuchsreihe würde dann ebenfalls in einer Endlosschleife enden ... äh... *argh!*
Ich glaube mein eigener Zustand nähert sich allmählich dem Stadium "kap0tt".
